Just looking at the news updates gives me the creeps. Chilly feeling. Sadness is overwhelming. I think there will be more casualties. I can recall a tv reporter saying that they saw the water "storm surge" starting to rise so they went up to the third floor. He continued saying in just about 5 minutes when they looked down, the water had risen to about 10 feet. That fast, women, children and the elderly would not be able to seek refuge to a higher ground or could not even go out. What if the house has no second floor? I was like speechless for quite sometime when I saw the news. I was crying silently. No words can describe the feeling.

Update on Super Typhoon Yolanda / Haiyan

As it stands with our latest update here about the incoming super typhoon, Yolanda, or internationally known as Haiyan is expected to make landfall in Samar-Leyte Provinces by Friday around 11am to 1pm.

The said typhoon is also expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Sunday morning.

Again, for everyone located near the trajectory of this super typhoon, take all precautionary measures necessary to ensure the safety of your family and yourself.

Please stay updated on the latest news about Yolanda / Haiyan via Radio, Television and Social Networks. Keep your devices charged and topped up with extra load, just in case the need might arise to turn to them.

This is frightening to us filipinos. A 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit the Central Visayas 8:12 am on October 15, 2013. The quake left old churches and shrines damaged. The death toll is still rising. And then there is this news that there will yet be a big one yet no one can predict when it is coming. http://ph.news.yahoo.com/bohol-quake-warning-things-come-experts-warn-120148976.html There have been more than 1,300 aftershocks recorded as of today.

Alex and I have just visited Cebu last September 26, 27 and 28. Bohol and Cebu are both tourist spots and are well known for their old churches and shrines. Bohol is well known for "the chocolate hills". I just pray that Bohol and Cebu recovers from this massive devastation. This is tragic.

We visited other landmarks in Cebu such as Magellan's Cross, Fort San Pedro, Cebu Cathedral, Rainforest Park and Plaza Independencia. Had a great time at the Ayala Malls Cebu and SM Cebu. Watched the movie Riddick at SM Cinema.

The pork barrel scam has given rise to a call of a public gathering called "Million People March" to Luneta or Rizal Park on August 26, 2013. I don't know if I can go but I want to go to show how I resent what's been happening. The abolition of the PDAF is not a guarantee either that everything will run smoothly. Everybody must be on guard against corruption.

Metro Manila and nearby provinces are again flooded. Classes are suspended in all levels. The culprit... Storm Maring and "Habagat". Four dams are currently at critical level.

Watched 3 movies last Monday. The Wolverine, Red 2 and Bakit Di ka Crush ng Crush Mo at Ayala Town Center. Well, got a headache afterwards. LOL. Last night watched Oblivion and Dead Man Down.

I was supposed to post a picture of my grandson but my download turned out to be an epic failure. hmmmm..
